V Cut Cigar Lounge

Melrose · Los Angeles, CA

The connoisseur's pick. For roughly twenty-five years, V Cut has held down a stretch of Melrose with one of the deepest boutique and small-batch humidors in the city — the wall you visit when you already know cigars and want something you can't get anywhere else.

Owner Murtaza Ahmadi hand-selects the stock, and it shows: this is a curated shelf, not a distributor's default. If Grand Havana is about who's in the room and Buena Vista about the bar, V Cut is about the cigar itself — the small maker, the limited run, the thing the staff can actually tell you the story of.

The Patio

A street-front patio on the iconic Melrose strip — next door to the Hollywood Improv — for smoking your find in the open air the way California prefers. People-watching on one of LA's great walking streets, cigar in hand.

The Setup

A classic gallery room and that patio out front. As of our listing it reads BYOB with no full bar confirmed — bring your own pairing and confirm on arrival. It's a daytime-into-evening room, open latest Thursday through Saturday.

Why We Picked It

Because discernment is the whole game, and V Cut rewards it better than any room in LA. Come knowing what you like; leave having found something you didn't know existed.

Not this site — a separate six-page website built for a lounge: the room, the humidor and bar, membership, private events, visiting. It's done. Your name and photographs go in, it launches on your domain, and it sells once.
