Cremo Cigar Factory
Little Havana · Miami, FL
A century ago, Cremo was painted on brick walls across America and sponsored Bing Crosby on the radio. Then it vanished — until a New Yorker named Walter Santiago brought the name back to a bench on Calle Ocho.
Founded in 1896, Cremo was once the best-selling cigar of its class in the country. The revival is the real thing: a working factory on the west end of 8th Street — grown from its Overtown beginnings — where torcedores roll daily and the whole process, leaf to cap, happens in front of you. A sister operation, Tabacalera Cremo, rolls in Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
The Factory
This is the bookable end of the Miami cigar experience — guided tours that walk you from leaf sorting to finishing, and cigar-and-Cuban-coffee tastings that pair the house work properly. Visitors leave rating it near-perfect, and the scores show it: the best-reviewed cigar experience in the city on paper.
The Blend
The signature move: sit down with the rollers and build your own — your wrapper, your filler, your cigar, made with your own hands under professional supervision. As souvenirs of an afternoon go, a box of your own blend is hard to top.
Why We Picked It
Because heritage you can handle beats heritage behind glass. Cremo turns the history into an afternoon — and sends you home with proof. Visits run daily; the experiences book ahead, so plan before you go.
