Cigar City Club

Some rooms serve the culture. For a decade on Roswell Road, this one has helped define it.

Cigar City Club opened in 2015 — envisioned by Julius Bolton, and carried forward today by owners Alonzo and Kim Primus — and grew into the standard-bearer of Atlanta's Black-owned cigar houses. The style is full-dress 1920s: low light, live entertainment, and a room that expects your best and returns it.

The Table

This is dinner, properly — a full gourmet menu with top-shelf spirits and a considered wine list, not a bar-snacks afterthought. Come at eight, order courses, let the entertainment start, and the cigar becomes the fourth act of a complete evening.

The Club

The walk-in humidor ranges from traditional to boutique, and members keep private lockers alongside access to the club's event calendar. It's semi-private in the best sense: guests are welcome, members belong, and the dress code — business casual, enforced for everyone — keeps the room at its own standard.

The Room

A fixture of Atlanta Cigar Week culture and a decade deep in its own traditions. Weekends run to 2 a.m.; Sundays start at four and unwind slowly. Plan for the evening, not a stop.

Why We Picked It

Because ten years of setting a standard earns the second chair in this city, and no room in the Southeast wears the speakeasy era more completely. Dinner, smoke, music, membership — the whole ritual under one roof, the way it was meant to be hosted.
