No. 4 · Atlanta
BURN by Rocky Patel
The Battery · Atlanta, GA
Five thousand square feet at the Braves' front door, with the busiest bandstand in Atlanta smoke. Subtle it is not. Fun it absolutely is.
Rocky Patel planted his flag at The Battery in May 2019 with one of the city's biggest rooms, and it runs the way a ballpark-district lounge should: dim, clubby, loud on the right nights, and open from noon so the pre-game cigar has somewhere to live.
The Music
No lounge in the metro programs harder — live jazz Wednesdays, bands Friday and Saturday with a DJ carrying the night past ten, and a DJ'd Ladies Night on Thursdays. Atlanta Cigar Week named it the city's Best Cigar Lounge in 2024, and the calendar is a big reason why.
The Humidor
A Spanish-cedar walk-in holding four hundred-plus hand-rolled cigars — the full Rocky Patel range at the source, with a weekday Humidor Happy Hour that discounts the five-stick pickup before 7 p.m. The house is the brand here; smoke accordingly.
The Room
Craft cocktails, premium whiskey, and a kitchen doing crab cakes and sliders — game-day fuel with a collar on. On Braves nights the room becomes the ritual's loudest chapel; on off nights the jazz calms it back down.
Why We Picked It
Because every city list needs its big room, and Atlanta's comes with a band, a pennant race, and four hundred cigars in cedar. Go on a Wednesday for the jazz, or on a game night for the whole show.
